I’m warming up. I like this NK move a whole bunch.

I’ll fuss at him when he’s Fox News Grandpa saying dumb shite, but I’ve gotta give him credit when due. Just because other foreign policy dudes said we can’t talk to them doesn’t mean we shouldn’t.

The risk/ reward is solidly in our favor. This may be my most favorite out of the box move he’s pulled.

Yeah like that won’t be the most heavily fortified meeting ever.

Which leads to an interesting question.... where do they hold the meeting and what are the conditions?

Swiss gonna get back into the neutral arbiter game? Didn’t fat kim go to school there?

I know the conference room at the DMZ was designed for meetings but I don’t think that would be a good idea for this

I think Fat Kim would want to project some strength domestically. If he puts denuclearization on the table and limps down south I think that presents problems for him at home

Haven’t they conducted meetings aboard naval vessels before? Like Japan signing their surrender in WWII

He will carry his fat arse to Geneva and like it.

Our terms. Our rules.

This all started when the orange one dropped the Moab. Trump has all of the leverage because fat rocket boy Kim thinks Trump is crazy enough to push the button

I’ll be curious to see how you verify denuclearization while striking the balance of him being able to save face and sovereignty domestically.

Their entire national identity has been shaped off being at war with us. I can’t imagine his generals will be cool with inspectors in their facilities doing the work of the imperialists.

Curious to see this deal relative to the Iran deal.

Would a Barack the Benevolent's type deal with Iran be a big win for you?

I think we are beyond that.

His people are eating garbage in the streets. Defectors are pouring over the Chinese border. He's looking for a way out, because for the first time he thinks that the mofo in the wh is crazier than he is. He might be right.

Iran had more leverage because of their proxies, but I see similarities in their domestic politics.

I don’t see how you totally denuclearize and have it verified and still satisfy your domestic hardliners. Especially when your national identity for the last 40/60 years has been to defy the great Satan.

There may be an agreement to be had, but it’s going to be a tightrope to walk

If you understand asians, you'd agree that they tend to put blind faith in their leaders. Questioning leaders is out of bounds. If Kim giving up nukes opens the floodgates of trade, food, and other essentials, and maybe gets military protection in return, the state will declare Kim a liberator and the people will love him for it. The average noko could gaf about the US. They just want to have a meal that's not from a trash bin. Pretty much every defector that's gone public has said as much.

Im not seeing this "saving face" angle that Libs keep bringing up. These aren't Japs.
