If anyone here still supports mainstream entertainment (including hollywood) they are part of the problem.
Seems baws just cant wean themselves from cheap, shitty woke products.

I'm not boycotting Country, its all I have left.
Beyonce can win all the Country Artist of the Year awards and it doesn't matter. Turnpike, Sturgill, Zach Top, 49 Winchester are all gonna keep turning out good music.
I love that my teenagers know all the words to "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue" and "Neon Moon" (oldies but goodies) and aren't bangin' on about bitches and hoes and shooting up police. The cultural shift of the past few years is definitely an improvement.
Side note: Yacht Rock (10cc) and Divorced Dad Rock (Alice in Chains) are popular with kids too. I just learned this tidbit last night when my daughter came in singing "I'm not in love"

Not exactly on topic but regardless of genre, a good band in a great bar is 100x better than a great band on a choreographed, over-produced arena tour. Just thought I'd throw that in. Lagniappe.

quote:I agree totally. As well as Sunday Morning Comin' Down Cash did it OK but I like Chris' rendition just as well or better. Lyrics Went to the closet to find my cleanest dirty shirt , is really Chris from the heart!
I can't imagine anyone doing "Why Me" any better. The raw, unrefined is what brings the message home.

Just read all eight pages and surprised to see no one has brought up that it’s women who ruined our music. They’re the ones who like that beta-cuck garbage they’ve been calling country music.

If it weren’t for women, Country artists wouldn’t have anything left to sing about besides their trucks and their dogs

Kenny Chesney fricked your wife, didn’t he?

Some country guy should try writing a song about drinking.

Ive got tickets to see Whiskey Meyers next month here in Greensboro.
People seem to LOVE Sturgill Simpson live.
Im not sure what were really talking about. I thought we were complaining about the current state of country music...

The Troubadours are a national treasure right now. The new album is stellar.
Their new album came out two weeks after Dad passed away. No song has ever hit me as hard as "On the Red River". I had to pull off the road to finish listening to it the first time.
Contrast that with mainstream radio shite and there's really no comparison.

Probably on the short list of fake alphas here but I like morgam wallen.
Next you're gonna tell us Gavin Adcock totally would have kicked Zach Bryan's arse if his own security hadn't held him back. Early Morgan wasn't bad.

I started my boycott 2007. This year I will have seen Charley Crockett, Gary Allan, Turnpike Troubadours, and Colter Wall.

Colby Acuff, Whiskey Myers and Tyler Childers are on my rotation for more recent and real country.

I first heard Waylon in my 6th grade history class. My teacher played ‘Rebel Soldier’ off a songs of the civil war album. Looking back today, I’d be surprised if he still has the job

Randall King puts on a good performance. I like his music, gives hope for the future of C&W. I was at a show in Houston over a year ago, he gave me a shout out for my LSU hoodie!
