Power and notoriety are tempting.

It takes discipline to do what’s right when you won’t win any accolades for it, and no one becomes a judicial icon by keeping things the way they are.

Both. It's called the Deep State. RINOs and Dems are part of the deep State. Trump is trying to rid DC of the Deep State, but there are too many people involved in every Govt Department. They want to get rid of Trump at all costs.
Remember, G S O R O S said it did not matter if Romney or NoBama were elected. He knew he could control both. He doesn't control Trump because Trump is not beholden to anyone's money.
THIS IS WHY YOU VOTE FOR TRUMP. Liking his tweets or not is irrelevant. He is the only one who has been trying to stand up to GS and the Deep state.

Most Republicans are actually Democrats who use the Republican party as their vehicle to gain political power
a simple example is that all the average republican wants to do it go to work and provide for his family. Their isn't any time to become a civic leader.

You were told about what the modern Republican Party was in 2008 and 2012 by this man. And the majority of folks laughed at him. He was right then, it just took a personality like Trump to expose it.

How in the eff do these two phonys become the GOP Presidential nominees only to become backstabbers? Is this just a case of sour grapes or is there something rotten the GOP?

90% of the time, people vote for who the tv tells them to vote for.

TV says McCain is a war hero, a respected Senator, and a Republican. Voters back McCain.

TV says Romney is a businessman, a respected Governor, and a Republican. Voters back Romney.

In 2016, voters decided 30 years of empty promises, rank hypocrisy, and anti-American policies were enough, and that "being a Republican" didn't really mean a fricking thing.

This has to be the case, all the top republican of past- Bush’s, McCain, Romney and others have turned against Trump and makes no difference. Republicans are free from the old way, Dems had a chance but they squashed Bernie

I also voted for both. They both sucked, but the alternative was the worst president in history.

Half this board is going to vote for Nikki Haley/Romney in a Dress in 2024.

It's a simple fact that national media controls national politics through coverage.

The GOP has 26 current state governors - how many can you name?

Abbott because the media talks about his Covid response

DeSantis because the media talks about his Covid response

Kemp because the media talks about his Covid response

Noem because she's hot + Trump rally at Mt Rushmore

If the media spent more time talking about Bill Lee or Mike DeWine or Chris Sununu would they be seen as possible contenders in 2024?

I would vote for DeSantis in 2024 in a heartbeat. That bill he proposed that would make sure no looting and rioting happens in Florids is awesome.

Simple reason, the GOPe wants to get back to their bullshite. Sununu is a pro-trump Republican

That’s why you don’t hear of those types being nominated. The Sununu’s, McMasters, etc aren’t going to stand a chance because of the establishment
