His brother retired as a full bird colonel, so they both found success as Army officers (you know, where you swear an Oath to the Constitution, not a politician).

Doing something unethical isn't always illegal. Following the orders of their boss may have been an abuse of power but abuse of power isn't always illegal. I hate to break it to you but even if all of their actions were unethical and an abuse of power that doesn't mean they broke a single law. Instead of whining about them not being arrested, how about you point us to the laws they broke. And for the record, if they even barely skirted the law, I have no problem with them being perp walked. And if they weren't already gone, I would have been fine with Patel firing anyone who helped push the Russian Hoax.
