I just finished “Shattered.” Really good, eye-opening book regarding Hillary’s failed 2016 campaign. Her campaign had as a lot of internal flaws that both Bernie and Trump exposed and exploited.

I’m now reading this book:

It is about Reagan’s 1976 challenge to Pres. Ford. I love books like this; inside look at campaigns. What are you currently reading? I’m always looking for new reading material.

Long ago the world fell into twilight, when the great empires of old consumed each other in sorcerous cataclysms. In the south the Star Towers fell, swallowed by the sea, while the black glaciers descended upon the northern holdfasts, entombing the cities of Min-Ceruth in ice and sorcery. Then from the ancient empire of Menekar the paladins of Ama came, putting every surviving sorcerer to the sword and cleansing their taint from the land for the radiant glory of their lord.

The pulse of magic slowed, fading like the heartbeat of a dying man.

But after a thousand years it has begun to quicken again.

I'm a huge fantasy fan boy nerd. It's really well written and very fun read.

Great so far. I studied journalism in college but switched majors. I see a lot of the things he’s talking about.

That does sound interesting. I don’t read much fiction but that sounds worth the read.

Awesome. I’ve read “Reagan’s War.” It deals with his fight against Communism going back from his Hollywood days to his presidency. Fascinating stuff.

About a group of manuscript collectors and librarians smuggled ancient manuscripts out of Timbuktu during the 2013 Al Qaeda takeover of Mali.

. I don’t read much fiction

I crave the break from reality. I get far too deep into my own head sometimes.

I earned a double major in western philosophy and American Public Policy with a minor in History concentrated in western civilization. One thing I learned through all my study is that mankind is capable of some extreme atrocities and life on the whole is depressing and full of anger. The only happiness in his world is that which you make yourself because humanity as a whole is extremely dark and miserable.

You will never find happiness. You have to make it. This is a mantra I live by.

The Parable of the Madman
by Friedrich Nietzsche becomes closer to a prophecy every day. Although he envisioned a better humanity, we have become a monstrous one. Unchained from the sun. And the future is unbelievably bleak. The inevitable steps we have to take to correct the path this country is on are brutal and full of pain. And dwelling on them is depressing and wholly taxing on the mind.
