I don't want Rubio driving down Pennsylvania Avenue, let alone living in the White House. Just say "no" to Little Marco!

This obsession some of you have with wanting to nominate minorities or a woman is bizarre. You're probably the dumbest group of people on the board.

"The left will accept us if we nominate non-white or female candidates!"

Rubio? Nope

Noem? I would punch her ticket anytime, and vote for her too.

No shite. Although from what I've seen so far Noem seems pretty damn conservative.

Calling Rubio a "minority" is a stretch; he's a white guy with Spanish ancestry. I'd rather Ted Cruz if we want to go that route.

All these people saying no were probably on the Rubio train until Trump got involved

Rubio pros:

He's interested in substance
He's a student of foreign policy
He's very diligent in trying to steer and craft legislation

In sum, I think Rubio is probably a nice guy who means well and really wants to acquire subject matter expertise on major items of importance (which is very rare for modern politicians).

Rubio cons:

He's scared
He caveats everything either out of fear or because his approach to politics is as a student (see above) rather than as a leader/authority
He tries too hard to be viewed as a statesman. I don't think trying to be a statesman is a bad thing in a vacuum, but it's a stupid thing in this environment. I'm not convinced he's a genuine Comey/Roberts/McCain - people with delusional obsession with vain legacy and safeguarding against perceptions of bias in their institutions - but he's too close to that for comfort.

I was impressed with Rubio early on in 2016. He seems bring and charismatic enough but over time he has proven to be too in the tank for the establishment. So to answer your question....frick NO!

He's cuban. He's hispanic with a hispanic last name.

I just ran the numbers. Turns out, Cubans are still a minority.
