Perhaps, but the UFO stuff was all I recall, and turned me off. Never gave him much of a shot.

For me, Micheal Savage was one that had that don't trust what the govt is telling you vibe.

Art Bell was the goat. His late night show was probably the most entertaining radio show of all time. I remember a show where a guy claimed to have shot Bigfoot and buried the body. All of the subsequent callers came on to yell and shame the guy, and tell him that he would have to atone for his murder of an innocent creature. Great shite

quote:

The best one I heard was the guy that called in and said he was flying over Area 51.

Art begged him not to do it but he said he was doing it, and then the line went dead. Lol.

Don't know what ever happened to that guy.

These samples are definitely great to laugh about, but in clips format. Not listening all night to try to catch the crazies.

Granted I'm not a fan of the shows with lots of callers. I want a sharp host that can break shite down for me, and good expert interviews.

I see all downvotes for my comments about Rush being an establishment guy.
Answer this, didn’t Rush full heartedly campaign and plug for Romney and McCain?

I had many very late nights driving, listening to Art Bell. Dude was awesome.

I used to work swing shift in a dark, lonely and scary foundry and we would have Art Bell on during lunch. I believe Michael Savage came on before him. This was like 20 yr ago.

Bell was way ahead of his time. He and Rush were good friends. I still listen to Art on TuneIn. All of his shows hold up extremely well.

Yes he did, I used to enjoy listening to him.
Many laugh him off, but Alex Jones has been on the heels of the shadow Govt for a long time.

G Gordon Liddy was another that had some very good insight into the "inner workings" of the Govt.

Bell, Rush, Liddy....those guys had personality !
Today's breed of radio hosts are too cookie-cutter for me.

ALTHOUGH....I have started listening to Michael Berry's podcasts recently. That dude's on fire, and has some hilarious content !

Turned that show off permanently in 2015 when Nouri kept shoving that loathsome Howard Bloom down the throats of his listeners during the campaign.

Revealed all that was needed about Nouri.

Respected Art Bell.

But he somehow incited some "dark forces" against himself which he never identified. But they were enough for him to have to pull up and move to the Phillipines.

He basically started his life over again there.

Get more than enough of paranormal investigations and UFO visitors from the Zeta Reticuli star system on the Quest, Story, and Twist networks.

Limbaugh was never able to dislodge himself from the Bushes.
