Long time, no talk.

And you know that I love your black arse. And I know that if anyone calls me racist for that, you will kick their arse.

I took it that he was demonstrating that we, blacks and whites, can (and have to a great degree) listened to our 'better angels' and NOT simply followed a "kill or be killed" approach to our complaints.

I think he only mentioned those groups as a contrast. I would not particularly use that tactic in this thread, But, I found nothing particularly objectionable in what Trackfan was trying to say.
Same here. I took no offense at what trackfan said. I'm not sure what grits is upset about.

Sorry....

I just think that this isn't the thread for the Muslim/Jew hatred. There is enough of this.

Our country has it's own history of racial hatred.

Excellent.

Pretty good movie. I loved Gene Hackman. His character was loosely based on FBI agent John Proctor, whose office was in Meridian. Willem Dafoe's character was loosely based on FBI agent Joseph Sullivan, whom Tom Clancy eulogized as the greatest lawman in American history when Sullivan died in 2002. Proctor is still alive, though retired.

Btw, the movie's title "Mississippi Burning" comes from the codename for the FBI's investigation, "MIBURN" for "Mississippi Burning"

I haven't seen that movie in years.

I may watch it, but this book seems really interesting right now.

LA, you are going to have to assign a Book or Documentary for the class to read / watch...then discuss in a thread. You and your Admin scum...i mean friends...can police that thread for ONLY relevant posts.

It might be fun
