There is no easy way out of this.
That’s the truth of the matter. Cutting off any and all aid is disastrous and sends a clear message to our enemies that we will not support our allies through to the end and see them defeated. The belief that we will defeat our enemies no matter the cost has to remain.
Continuing aid to Ukraine in this case is going to be costly in a variety of ways. Doing this in the face of a struggling country is a very hard sell. How does helping them make our life any better? Day-to-day it isn’t really perceptible and what we do see is a much higher cost-of-living, collapsing infrastructure, homelessness and the constant reminder that everyone is crazy and in need of mental health support.

I don't think DeSantis even knows what to do.
I don’t think anyone really does. Every option has downsides. So the question is which options give us the least amount of problems and that depends greatly on your personal worldview.
When the war started up I was of the mindset that this was a European problem. We should send humanitarian aid and keep our nose out of it. I think that was slightly naive in hindsight. Russia needs to be stopped. Which has more or less happened. Standing up to them now can impact how China moves forward with their ambitions. This is part of what comes with being the big dog. Our decisions have global impact and I don’t want China getting froggy and jumping at Taiwan if they suspect there is a schism here that they can exploit.

One of the things I really like about DeSantis is how often he says umm and uhh when answering questions. I know that supposedly is a bad thing but unless he is writing speeches with “umm” and “uhh” he is actually thinking about his responses as he talks.
ETA: to be fair I say uhh and umm a lot when answering questions after giving presentations or during meetings so it may be a personal thing for me.

It'll be interesting when they start pretending to like Ramaswamy.
Is this your snarky way of discrediting anyone that learns about Vivek and likes what they see?
"You liking Vivek is disingenuous because I predicted people like you would like him."

He's not polished and I like it.

I do hate the “oh by the way” thing he does. It’s very rehearsed.

I’ve noticed this. Don’t hate it, but the fact I noticed it, noteworthy.

I think if he slowed it down a bit it would seem more natural but he says it so quickly it is extremely obvious. I do not like it.

Ron is solid but you need some charisma to win the big one...........Unless you cheat

That was a bit of a weak answer on Ukraine.

No. This is my very direct way of calling out the fake support you hypocrites are going to have for him.

I'm waiting for them to call out DeSantis on his positions.

Ron is having difficulty with the Ukraine question. He will not define the objective. Talks about the objective but won't define it.
