Like going back to the old 20mm anti-tank rifles. The .408 uses monolithic, CNC-turned bullets that are very high BC and they are coupled to ballistics calculators that feed in local atmospheric data to come up with first-round dopes, usually with pretty good results in the hands of a professional. I think there's a limit to what a human can do though, at a certain range it's up to electro-mechanical assistance. I've gone down the YouTube rabbit hole on guys shooting at 1-mile targets with various setups and it's obvious it takes a ton of skill and some luck to ring a piece of steel plate that far away.

This is pretty groundbreaking people.

The optics question is sound if I would guess, its a western optic solution.

I hold some Russian optics and for the AK-74 they are sound. Germany makes some sound solutions, and they have them by the balls with the gas pipeline so any NATO technology is available.

Damn fine question.
