The only US government entities that should be in DC are president, Congress and SCOTUS. I believe these individuals (representatives, senate, President, and SCOTUS judges) should meet in person bc it favors collaboration.
That’s it. Every single solitary other administrative agency should be headquartered elsewhere. If you want to be the Secretary of Transportation- you have to move to wherever it is headquartered.
Congressional staff should live in the districts that the member of Congress is elected from.
I’m fine with SCOTUS having law clerks and POTUS having White House Staff. He can do cabinet meetings by zoom or the cabinet members can travel to DC when required
There should no courts other than SCOTUS in DC. You want to litigate a “Deep State Law” you can do it in an actual state. The court system is completely controlled by the DC Circuit which shouldn’t be the minor leagues.
Our representatives should live where we live and travel to meet with other representatives when congress is in session.

In this world, decentralization is a good idea. We don't need all three branches in DC.
... on a side note - to you and Caddy... the Supper Club has gone to crap. Very little participation. Threads locked daily with no consistency. I'll hand around there until the football season is over ... I'm about to be kicked off this board again and it is not worth creating a new email to post here. Hope the two of you have a great Thanksgiving and Christmas and maybe we'll end back up on another board later.
