It completely is a sides issue
‘Men are men, not women.’
‘There aren’t any trans kids.’
The trans issue really isn't relevant in this discussion. It's just a point being hyper-focused on by people trying to make this partisan and dance on the graves of dead children to score online political points. It's gross.
Keep reading, he probably didn't even consider himself trans/a girl by the time of the shooting.

here’s almost no doubt about it. These drugs do more harm than good and just flood your brain with serotonin. There’s no real science behind them, they don’t target specific parts of the brain that are messed up. On top of that they’re hell to come off of and while not narcotics they do lead to dependency.
In my 20's out of no where I developed panic disorder. Not general anxiety but full on panic attacks out of the blue for no reason. My heart would suddenly start racing, my blood pressure would drop, felt like I was going to pass out. or die. A full physical evaluation was done and my doctors could'nt find anything abnormal. I was in great physical shape, moving up in world with my job, active social life...everything was going great until this shite started happening. It reached a point where I wouldnt socialize outside of work out of fear of embarrassment from these attacks. So reluctantly I took my doctors advise and got on Paxil. This stopped what ever was causing this disorder from occurring anymore but my mood changed a lot. I just felt emotionally kinda numb. Still the good out weighed the bad for me and after a year, and against my doctor's recommendation I quit taking Paxil. There were some mild sleeping difficulties but maybe b/c my dosage was low I found it pretty easy to get off. And I didnt have any more of these out of blue panic attacks. So in my case it was worth taking them.

Mentally ill people take SSRIs
Of course they are more likely to do crazy shite because they are ill to begin with
This is like blaming chemo for causing the cancer
I do agree that they are handed out too commonly particularly in younger people but this is a bad case of causation vs association.
