I agree that may have mattered once, but let's be honest: more people watch youtube channels than CNN. Check CNN ratings against Phillip DeFranco's daily view count if you don't believe me.

Mainstream media is genuinely failing right now, and their outdated mode of thinking (i.e. 'craft the narrative') is a big reason why.

I understand what you're saying but even more people don't bother to keep up by exposing themselves to youtube videos.
The MSM is the MSM because that is where most people, who are not political junkies, get their information. They are susceptible to "the narrative"....and they vote too.

A journalist wouldn't. We no longer have them. We now have lazy, media hacks.
