CW is like untouchable at FNC, short of a sexual assault accusation or something similar. He's the "elder statesman" and also adds the balance to "Fair and Balanced". Not really, but you get the point. That's what they would say. Thus he basically gets to do whatever he wants. And what he wants is to get back at the Bad Orange Man for telling him in so many words on a number of occasions that he's a little hack poon who doesn't measure up. So that's what he gets paid to do, pursue a vendetta against Trump.
