Nope. Kanye had been around, making beats for Roca Fella. The story goes that in the early 2000s Kanye wanted to be in the limelight. He begged Jay Z in a studio session to be able to get on a song so Jay told him write something down & get on the mic. Kanye did & Jay told him it was trash. So Kanye was determined to perfect his craft. He went to work on his writing & his flow. When he came back to Jay Z to try again, Kanye blew him away.

Yes but the actual autopsy report states he died in his sleep from sleep apnea. He died in December of 2007 in Los Angeles yet he had an appointment scheduled the following month there to be treated for his sleep apnea.

And Kanye West

quote:

Jay-Z and Kanye first met in 2000, working on the all-time classic Blueprint album. Ye had also begun producing for artists on Jay’s label Roc-a-Fella, after establishing himself as a formidable producer in his hometown, Chicago. Kanye had aspirations beyond sitting behind the boards though: he saw himself on stage. By this point, Kanye had already worked with Cam’Ron, Nas, Trina, Alicia Keys, and Lil’ Kim. He’d also received the coveted Roc chain – but this is where Jay-Z and Kanye’s vision met a bump

Ya I know that, but the Ace, in my opinion, was Just Blaze.

I can see why you would say that. You still wrong about Mannie being better than Pimp though.

She’s got a sucking d*ck problem and that’s not an exaggeration! I’m still waiting for someone, anyone to mention her years as former SF’s mayor Wille Brown’s personal concubine, while he was a married man I may add. It’s a fact she slept her way up the ladder & would be one step away from being POTUS w/ dementia Joe trying to tie his shoes.

You should stick to plowing fields cowboy. Willie Brown had been estranged from his wife for 15 years when he and Kamala started dating. I know that is flumoxing for a country simpleton but it's the modern world. And to call a woman who dates a man a concubine speaks to your sense of overall female subservience.

And youd be correct. Just Blaze was the ace. And for my money "U Don't Know" is the greatest beat of all time.
Kanye to his credit may just well be the greatest hip hop producer of all time. He's at least worth the mention next to Dre, who's likely the correct answer based on longevity and genre influencing track record.
