So not only will the racist pos not resign, he's playing cute by trying to erase history.

The Daily Press reports that Northam’s office presented a letter to the Fort Monroe Authority Board of Trustees Thursday supporting removal of the Jefferson Davis Memorial Arch, a wrought-iron structure built in 1956 by the Army with $10,000 from the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
The board voted unanimously for removal, likely to be a lengthy process because Fort Monroe is designated a national historic landmark.

The French have preserved the German Pill Boxes on Omaha Beach to freeze that moment in human history. Politically correct Americans?? Not so much.

It's a landmark. It's not going anywhere. He knows this.

In fairness, Fortress Monroe was occupied by Union forces for pretty much the entire war. That arch commemorating Jefferson Davis wasn't even erected until 1956. What purpose or significance does it hold to the site? And this is coming from someone who abhors the removal of monuments to historic people and places.

I hear you! But removing it would be, once again, imposing 2019 political correctness on a decision that was made 63 years ago.

You insensitive mofos. Back in the good old days when northam was a black man, he was offended by that arch!
