You wanna know the cure for must anxiety in children and teens: Hard work.
Take away the godamned Interwebz, put a rake in their hands and shove them outside.
Sweat is a cure for many, many things.

So glad kids are older. I'd probably be having to strangle some people.
Getting a "read" of an 8 year old's psyche is about as useful and reliable is trying to read palms

Find anxiety using a very loose definition
Especially in white suburban and country kids in the south & Midwest.

They’ll probably find it, too. I feel sorry for today’s kids. It’s a much more stressful time to live than when i was younger. Our brains aren’t wired for the thousands of tiny decisions we have to make on a daily basis, and for being in constant communication with the entire planet (through the internet) at all waking times.

Let's remember that the iPhone was released in 2007, and relatedly, Social Media, was born around then as well. So you say that "correlation does not imply causation"? I disagree on this one. Fight me.

And the left is pushing the idea that "gender" issues are causing youth anxiety and suicide rates to spike. Is your kid depressed? "Take a dose of slice off his genitals/slice off her breasts!"

I don’t remember ever feeling any significant anxiety until maybe last 2 years in college
8 years old? Hell all I cared about was recess and riding my bike when I got home, maybe playing Nintendo

JESUS! They do cover all the bases when doing this kind of stuff.

I saw a "He Gets Us" ad last night. It said "Jesus had anxiety."
If diminishing Jesus' deity is the vehicle of the movement, I want no part of it.

In an effort to be "relevant" and evangelize the modern and hip world, the Southern Baptist Convention has partnered with an evangelistic organization called "He Gets Us" which is a group that seeks to introduce people to the "real" Jesus and distance itself from traditional Christianity.

What is the point of screening for anxiety?
There is a critical shortage of mental health clinics and providers.
You can “find” 50 new cases or 50 million new cases - it won’t matter because none of them can get in to be seen.

Anxiety that they created with their constant fear mongering

What person doesn't have some level of anxiety?

Not a son, and there is absolutely no way that I could deny either of my daughters. They both look way too much like me. Nice of you to try to shame someone for looking out for his daughter's mental health though. I have anxiety and I know exactly what it looks like. Dr said it takes 26 yes answers on the questionnaire for them to consider it being anxiety. My daughter had 44.
