Your 2 big stances seem to be letting American cities continue to be lawless and protecting fisherman on the high seas. Pretty embarrassing.

We do love having our Commander in Chief attempting to abuse his power, don't we?

Funny how that works, isn't it?
Leftist president with obvious dementia openly weaponizes the whole justice department against his enemies. Oops, no problem from the left here!
New President uses power authorized by the constitution and perfectly legal. He even gets nearly all of his orders confirmed by the Supreme Court after lower courts illegally try to stop him . You know, the court held up by the left for forever when they got their way, right?
DJT isn't only not abusing power, he's using constitutionally authorized power in our governing documents.
Don't bore us with your feeble nonsensical excuses. We're not listening any more.

Remember when a certain letter said it would be Marines on the street?

Curiouser and curiouser.

Eisenhower sent National Guard and regular Army into Arkansas at the same time in order to protect citizens from violence.. Does anyome know for sure if Ike used rhe Insurrection act - i see conflicting info.

It was also done during the LA riots and the insurrection act was invoked.

No reasonable person could say that the 92 LA riots are comparable to the crime problem in Chicago.

Doesn't matter. Same laws apply.

Well for once I’ll support a judge shooting down this particular policy. Sending Marines to police common thug crime in Chicago is definitely not what I voted for.

I was fine with the troops in DC because that’s federal jurisdiction. And it’d be one thing if they were there to enforce federal immigration laws that sanctuary cities refuse to but not this. It’s about the most un-American thing I can think of.

Good luck. The supreme Court already told him he could.

Just my opinion but there should be (and rightly so) a high bar to invoke this. The L.A. riots and the ‘summer of love’ definitely met that standard. Those that feel differently about the current situation though are purposely being maligned as not caring about law and order. There is a slippery slope here, and I can only speak for myself but it has nothing to do with who is President.

Look up what is required to invoke the insurrection act. One of the provisions is if there is an ongoing conspiracy to subvert the rule of law. Now consider all of these rogue judges doing everything in their power to subvert federal law enforcement. They are stymying his ability to enforce federal immigration law, security clearances, etc etc etc.

I've been saying he has needed to do it for awhile now. And he's been threatening to do it for months.

So will the Marine’s mission be to enforce immigration law?

Yes actually. The pretense for sending them there is to protect ICE agents.

If all they do is help ICE enforce immigration law then I’m fine with it.

But they shouldn’t be patrolling the streets to fight regular crime.

Time will tell what happens. I want them to round up the bad actors within the government personally. I want to see this go nationwide and see them take all the shitbags down.

So the Marines are going to investigate corruption and arrest bad actors in the government now?
