What was the purpose of unmasking Flynn? I’m trying to keep up but honestly the stuff flying around all channels is BS. What was the purpose and how are we to believe we aren’t all being spied on?

There was none. They were worried he would out all the illegal spying that the Obama Administration had illegally conducted. Flynn scared Obama, as him and Russia were the only things Obama warned Trump about..We learned there was no Russian reason from Obama’s own intel agencies.. So there was zero reason other than to take him out...

Bongino actually thinks the unmasking was covering their tracks for something even more nefarious, having other 5 eyes countries spying on U.S. citizens. That is completely illegal for U.S. intelligence to do without a warrant so they leaned on other spy agencies abroad. Remember how the head of the British GCHQ, Robert Hannigan, quit unexpectedly right after Trump got elected? It's most likely related to illegal spying conducted by the GCHQ for U.S. intelligence agencies.

Word is Flynn did not like a number of policies and decisions Obama made. Flynn was very much opposed to the Iran deal. It is thought that this is the real reason why Obama told Trump to dump Flynn. He thought Flynn was work with Obama to undo the Iran deal and other “accomplishments”. So, they targeted and spied on Flynn.
Intelligence agencies were working with Obama’s people. Comey sent agents in to interview and try to trap Flynn. He was charged under the Logan Act. Many things were leaked to the MSM that were just flat not true. Wasn’t it Brian Ross of ABC that reported Flynn was going to cooperate and admitted a Trump asked him to get Russians to help him get elected? At any rate, once the MSM started reporting Flynn was tied to and being charged for lying about Russia interference the entire Russia collusion story spun out of control. The witch hunt was on.
Without the FBI targeting Flynn most of the last 3+ years of investigations don’t take place. Flynn stuff... unmasking... was absolutely key. The real question now is why did so many non-intelligence officials unmask Flynn. They had to file official forms and give reasons. These forms have not been released yet. A few that really stick out...Italian Ambassador and our UN Ambassador. Neither one have ANYTHING to do with intelligence.
Bottom line.... some really dirty and illegal shite was going down.

Don’t think he was ever charged under the Logan Act. Strozk snd Comey brought it up as a possibility but I don’t believe they charged him with it.
