ONLY reason the numbers are so "good."

I believe if there were the same number of workers today as in 2008, the UE would be over 10%.

At this point that percentage means almost nothing. Clearly its not indicative of a positive direction.

it is a shame that we have no recourse as citizens any longer.

And the vote them all out idea is long gone. there is nothing that can be done to turn the government back to the citizens.

Nope. From the linked article:

Even by the administration's own numbers, more people lost jobs than found them.

We are sooooo screwed it's beyond pathetic.
