Or, and try to stay with me here, all of their shore based radars and targeting systems have been destroyed. These used to be used to provide initial targeting data to the missile. The missile was then fired and once it was in visual range its own onboard targeting systems provided final terminal guidance.

Now that the radars and such have been destroyed the initial targeting data is provided by spotters in fishing boats.

This is pretty basic stuff, even for an Air Force guy.

So, just so we are clear, you still don't have anything definitive that you can link that verifies these tankers were hit by missiles, right? Because the reporting is pretty conflicting. I already provided a breakdown of what everyone is saying about it and there is exactly one source saying it was missiles and that goes uncorroborated while multiple sources say it was rockets.

So surely you have something that determines for sure it was missiles and not RPGs being fired by the Basij who we know are patrolling the strait in fishing boats.

And still, even at that, once again, these vessels were not disabled.

Didn't think so. As I said, I already provided the breakdown of who is saying what about this and the single report of missiles is uncorroborated while multiple reports say rockets. What it is is people in fishing boats taking pot shots with AKs and RPGs. At the end of the day, neither vessel was disabled and this thread is retarded.
