What good is a social media summit when you're unable to tweet...

Trump's SOCIAL MEDIA SUMMIT is happening this hour.

It was a closed-door "summit" where neither FB or Twitter were invited to. Not sure how Twitter being down impacts that summit at all.

Ask yourself, why would Twitter be down at this exact moment

Twitter today.

Within the last month:

XBox Live (this week most recently)
Facebook
Instagram
WhatsApp

How fringe of a theory would you like?

It's worth noting that all of those platforms have been rock solid for all intents & purposes in the past.

That's the point.

Twitter doesn't want anyone using its platform from inside the meeting.

They’re making our point! They are biased. Expect all those invited to have issues with their Twitter accounts for the foreseeable future.

Why not? They can all save their pics, videos, tweets and just post them after the meeting...

I forgot about the Google Calendar and GMail outages from a few weeks ago, too.

There was a poster on /pol/ at the beginning of June to expect widespread internet outages for various platforms in the near future. The post seemed to indicate that they'd culminate on July 4, but that doesn't mean anything, because if we knew, then anyone DS monitoring that forum would know, too, and that doesn't accomplish anything.

Looking for post now.

Pretty much every major corporation has had an outage or attack of some sort. Happens daily but yes this is pretty significant event. Maybe you shouldn't misbehave and your Mom won't put you in timeout and take your devices away.

I don't do twitter. But I've noticed for the last few days that half of the Rush Limbaugh Show has been taken over by T-shirt sale commercials.

I saw tweets from at least 5 of the 8 invitees leading up to their meeting. They would have tweeted after the meeting but :poof:

Trump is set to give his speech in about 2 minutes which is usually carried or linked to be viewed live.

It doesn't.

Why do you think it does?
