Israel isn’t an ally legally, we’re not treaty partners, and they’re not an ally in any spiritual sense either.
They spend more or their resources spying on us, and stealing from us, than they do on undermining Iran. The Israelis have the third largest espionage apparatus in the US, after Russia and China.

American Zionist invariably make moral or emotional arguments claiming that Israel is our greatest ally, or should be protected by America. When you poke holes in that. The rebuttal is, well, Israel is doing what’s best for Israel.
Which is fine and rational (although I think Israel’s foreign policy is self defeating).
But the Zionist lobby is very critical or the US, when we do things that smack of rational self interest. Which is what Tucker got into trouble for.
