The problem with foreign aid is that once we start paying for things, we become quasi-responsible for how those countries act. That pulls us into situations that shouldn’t really be ours to manage. If we stopped sending aid, we could step back and let events unfold naturally without feeling obligated to get involved. I would just be happy if we could get a President who ended this practice of giving other countries our money.
