I think it would be hard and time consuming to re-negotiate it now. But, others, notably Japan, have said that the agreement without the U.S. is senseless.

The idea that Trump, by dropping out for a bit over a year, is going to dramatically rewrite an agreement that was already negotiated and essentially finalized is ridiculous.
Of course, I’m sure there will be some sound bite for the loyalists to parade around as a victory lap; just like they have latched onto Xi saying the same thing he’s been saying for years now as some giant breakthrough.
Part of the next “evolution” to multilateral trade deals being the best way to protect American interests.
