Trump to Kudlow on re-entering TPP: "Larry, go get it done"

Nebraska Sen. Ben Sasse, a leading critic of the administration's trade policy, said Trump told the room "multiple times" that he was deputizing Lighthizer and Kudlow to review re-entry into TPP.

That's what so disingenuous from the left. From the beginning GEOTUS has just hated the current deals. That doesn't mean no deal at all. But they'll lost their minds when he leaves the bad ones and lose their minds when he redoes them. They can't be intellectually honest on the issue from the beginning and they lose voters on it.

This sounds like he wants to renegotiate the terms for a possible US reentry. He never said (to my knowledge) we'd pull out and never discuss reentry. He wants a better deal for the US -- a common theme we've seen economically from him since day 1.

When she saw TPP was unpopular and Bernie was landing hits on it she (unconvincingly) pretended to be against it but refused to categorically rule out signing it
Everyone knew that she was lying and she'd sign it, probably after some token meaningless changes that she could spin as "fixing" her not-really-existing problems with it
If Trump ends up doing the same it will be a genuine but welcome surprise to me
Maybe Larry just changed the cover page so it stands for "TRUMP POWER PLAN"

This is what’s called massaging the narrative. PDT had no plans to leave TPP and renegotiate. Now that we’re out though it’s been brought to his atten how badly it is for the US trade wise. Now that we have to get back in, here comes the narrative massaging to say that was PDT’s ploy all along.
