Beginning to sound like the hysteria of 19th Century and then again in the 1930’s. Immigrants make great scapegoats for soul-less politicians.
If only they had been successful in keeping out the Irish and Italians, we’d be so much better off (sarcasm, you know).

You think an immigrant costs us the same in 2023 that they did in 1930? Now it's damn sure the fault of politicians that those costs are what they are, but I have no control over that. We have a right and a responsibility to police our border even without the cost factor, but doubly so with the financial load they place on our taxpayers.
