At least some lawyers will get paid. I hope they were smart enough to get paid up front.

Why would anybody in our country be in favor of scumbags in media being able to destroy (or try to destroy) people at their wim?

News outlets have been shitting on presidents since the dawn of news and presidents

Trump is just the first one who is delicate enough to let it affect him.

Obama kicked Fox News out of the White House. How old are you?

I’ll take that as a resounding “no”

I would expect nothing less. Keep moving those goal posts.

I am of course, pointing out that you said Trump was the first person to let the negative press affect him, and you were clearly wrong. Apparently to you, it isn’t delicate or affecting you unless you sue for a half billion. Brilliant reasoning.

We know we know. That was (d)ifferent.

Suing a news organization years after the fact because they hurt your feelings is light years more “affected” than excluding them from interviews. I’m sorry you’re too biased to tell the difference.

Your lack of self awareness is staggering.

You gonna sue me? Or just exchange jabs?

Which one do you think would make you look more triggered?

They can just use the Fox Defense… “We’re and entertainment network not a news network “

It's not about the money. He's putting the pieces in place for his run for president. If CNN can't outright lie about him, everything changes.

I don't think he expects to win $475M, but if he drags it out enough it'll be cheaper for CNN to settle and that will be enough for Trump.

He does not want discovery, he got a headline and will drop it just like he always does.

Don’t be so sure. His lawyers may have reason to think there may now be enough votes on the court to overturn NY Times v Sullivan.

Not really so much his entire life, but if you're going to say there libeled you by saying the election theft was a big lie, then he's going to need to prove it's actually true.

He makes more money by suing/ getting it tossed/ withdrawing. You can guarantee that post went out with a plea for more money when he's sitting on a 100 million in PAC money.

How many times has he solicited donations for his legal fees? Honestly I have lost track at this point, but many of the cases he's asking joe public to pay for instead of ponying up his own money. It's an impressive grift honestly, I'm impressed he continues to find poor folks willing to bankroll a billionaire.
