I would crawl on my hands and knees through broken glass to vote for Trump in November but his speeches are losing their effectiveness. He’s getting long winded and repetitive. Biden gave him a treasure trove of ammunition today and Trump continues on with xenophobia blah blah. Everyone knows what Nancy and Biden said in February about the virus. Maybe it’s the oppressive heat but he seems off today.

He needs a shot of adrenaline. On the other hand these written speeches make him stay on message.

He’s doing this to torture the media. They have to sit there and take it like suckers. I hope he doesn’t even take any questions.

This is the only positive coverage he gets so he’s gotta milk it. He’ll have some spats with reporters when he’s done and that’s all anyone will hear about tmrw. But this is his only messaging apparatus besides the rally’s.

Trump seemed flat today. His presentation lacked energy and, as the OP stated, he does ramble. This has happened a few times lately. This was supposed to be a news conference, not a campaign speech. I understand the strategy but I’m not sure he’s getting through.

Felt like he was running out the clock on reporters today purposely. He mentioned it at the start saying “if we have time for questions”
And you’re right about the politicking he did but again with the censorship on his campaign he kind of has to do it. A lot of 55-60+ men only watch him like this so there is an audience for it.
