This is one of the great inequities of our legal system. The state can ruin a man by bankrupting him with legal costs. Many innocent people had to plea out or go to jail just because they could not defend themselves from a government that has bottomless resources.
I am glad you are happy about this because you better hope Trump doesn't get elected. He will most likely pull the same tactic on the government officials you support.

Brother, I listened to Trump a lot during the riots and after the election. The man is terrifying.
Do I support the left? No, not in the slightest. But Trump has done more harm to this country than many will admit. His saving grace are the justices he appointed to the Supreme Court. They’re the only ones holding the line right now. But beyond that, Trump is terrifying.
The Republican Party doesn’t need Trump anymore. He’s a poison in too many ways.

This may be. But saying he pushed for an insurrection isn’t true. Supporting him being prosecuted purely because of politics isn’t ok. You can hate the man, but supporting what is happening is just wrong.
