While I agree term limits would be beneficial, it won’t cure the REAL cancer.
The actual problem is the Administrative State. Government employees who stay in power no matter what party is in power or who is president. These people that sit in power in the agencies and all the smaller groups throughout government that are unknown by most of the public and wield substantial power behind the scenes. They have the power to weather any storm, hidden behind the scenes, pulling strings and sitting on money that’s not accountable to anyone. As an example of that money, there was a group that had multimillions allotted to it to study the y2k bug that kept getting that money until well after 2010, after the y2k threat was well past.
The people in the intelligence community, military, Bureau of Land Management, OSHA, IRS, State Department and countless councils and think tanks. These people splattered throughout Government actually hold the power in this country. Limit all government employees over a certain authority level to a ten year max employment is the only way to stop it. Do away with public employee unions. Unless we do this, nothing changes. It is these people that worked in the executive branch that leaked most of the Trump leaks to the press early in the administration. These people should all be fired. Every person that has collected a check from the Government for over 10 years needs to go. Also, all those committees and think tanks need to be dissolved. That’s what would help way more than term limits. It is these bureaucrats that want communism and socialism in America because they would be the top of the food chain. In a new civil war, those are the ones that would be the blame for it and the ones that should pay the price for it. They are all intermarried with democratic NGO’s and media. They are the evil in this country and the reason for the mess we are in. The politicians in congress have given all their authority to these bureaucrats because they are too lazy to do their jobs and passed it off so they can sit in their offices and drink $200 glasses of scotch and run whores.
