Or they steer conversations or debate to ground that is favorable to them. They don't engage in fights they can't win. And the "I am really a very smart genius" fight is not one that has a "win" for Trump.

What, in the last 2 years, has indicated to you that Trump follows what typical politicians do?
ETA: this goes well with my other thread about the ridiculousness and dangerousness of Dems going with the "mentally unstable" narrative.

His companies have filed for Chapter 11 several times. Not saying that bankruptcy is the ultimate litmus test for marketing or financial genius, but he's had mixed success. Where I work in management consulting, nobody considers Trump a genius by any stretch of the imagination.

No one here thinks the guy declaring “I am smart and stable” is better off than the guy saying “we have achieved.....” (and use real and quantifiable/verifiable examples - of which he has some)

I'm not saying he's a genius, I'm simply calling your description of his endeavors as "some success" as being a bit disingenuous.
Eh, that's a terrible comparison IMO. Sure he got help from his dad, but he built his own empire. Paris Hilton is basically a trust fund baby. Big difference.
But again, I never said he was a genius, you just can't deny the guys success and his ability to brand himself, whether you hate him or not.
