EVERY person in this thread that supports what the freedom caucus did... Answer the following please. 1- Would a bill with all of their "wants" be formulated, would it pass the House? 2- Would it pass the Senate? 3- If the answer is no to either of those questions then it's a none starter.
Did the Establishment R's present a bill that passed the House?
Would it have passed the Senate?
If the answer is no to either of those, then their bill was a nonstarter.
How bout INCLUDING the FC into their secret meetings drawing up their bills, instead of ignoring them and the citizens that gave them the majority in the House by electing those Conservative R's.

What do the Freedom Caucus guys want? Aside from their arses being kissed, what explicitly do they want?

Get the federal government out of healthcare? Competition across state lines? Removal of the clause that turns insurance into something other than insurance (pre-existing)

Lol at thinking you can do that via reconciliation.

I get that. Perhaps the calculus has been made that it will be easier to bring in some Democrats.....
why would the dems cooperate?

Then let this still be a D problem. Don't make the failings our healthcare system your own if you can't fix them.

Probably for Trump to keep his word.

A smart move. He's trying to get votes. Although I agree with the freedom caucus trump has to get votes to get tax reform done. He's got to pluck some Dems.

unfortunately for trump and the republicans, they railed against obamacare for 8 fricking years. And then they whiff and move on.
They own it now. Is that fair? Probably not, but that is the way things go.

Never going to happen regardless of what he does. This is not a smart move.

Would they have owned it any less if they implemented a system with the exact same flaws? Nope. Zero percent Republicans don't own healthcare is Trumpcare passed.

trump shouldn't need any help in the house to get ANYTHING through. Hell, he can lose quite a few Rs and still get something passed.
Now the senate is a bit trickier but he has 50 votes, he just can't do something so odious that dems feel the need to filibust it.

Love it. Anything to cause division in the GOP is a good thing for the Dems.

The difference here is the GOPE gave in to demands of the FC.

Would it have passed the Senate?
It would have been amended and sent back to the house.

You will see that attempted, and unless the FC changes it's methods that will go down in flames too.
That's the point.
Then when all is said and done, the American people will not show up to the polls and the dems will take over.

Oh that's wrong. The Freedom Caucus isn't willing to unite
