Trump debate strategy (give your thoughts and ideas)

Topics Trump should avoid:
-Hunter’s drug problems (easy pivot to pick up sympathy points from suburban women)
-Comparing Covid to Swine flu (not anywhere near the same amount of deaths, easy pivot for Biden to tout their record)
-anything about locking Biden up (shlock that doesn’t appease anyone except the far right)
Topics Trump should hammer:
-Biden’s tax plan
-Biden’s gun control plan
-green new deal
-court packing
This is the debate where he needs to add substance. Whoever is prepping him for the debate needs to give him one or two key facts about each of the above and he should skewer Biden on it. The tax plan and Biden plans for 401k should be enough to turn some people.
To be frank, the Hunter/Russia stuff isn’t moving the needle with independents, moderates, and undecideds. People are concerned about their pocket book, not something that doesn’t affect them in a foreign country.
Hit your strong points. Economy, manufacturing, national defense, less government overreach.

I’ve been saying this for months since Kamala was announced, but there needs to be a slight change with my approach given the NY Post piece and the media’s censorship of it: Open the debate saying he doesn’t care what Biden will say tonight since he is clearly senile and the majority of Americans don’t think he’ll finish out his first term and address all his points directly to his true competition Kamala Harris. Now with the NY Post story, he needs to hammer that home and the media censorship, but other than that, Trump should act like its Kamala Harris across the podium from him and not the lovable grandpa the media are trying to paint Joe as, and they’ve been doing that with some success. If it doesn’t have to do with the NY Post piece, address all your retorts to Kamala, the Radical Left, and the media (the later of which you can loop in with the NY Post piece and start attacking Kamala in the later half of your point).
