Its not about my facts

It's What He promised to do, vs what He hasn't done as promised "facts"

Its hard for me to keep up, but I think the current maga response for that is something like "those fricks knew what they were signing up for when they enlisted"

You could write for CNN with that slant.

Gonna be some real legal battles when it does open up like rum.

Havana Club is owned 50/50 Pernod Ricard and the Cuban govt and is a huge brand outside of the US.

Bacardi somehow weasled the trademark in the US in case the Cuban embargo was lifted.

Little known fact. The US has a rum tax referred to as "cover over". Its a tax on rum imported into the US, it amounts to 4.25 . That means by the time it hits retail its adds about 8.50 to a bottle.

Its on all rum imported. But the treasury does not keep it, it goes back to Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. They in turn give much of it back to Bacardi in Puerto Rico's case and Captain Morgan in the USVI's case.

So if Im Mt. Gay in Barbados or Appleton in Jamaica I pay that tax, it gets handed to Puerto Rico and they give part of it to Bacardi to use against me in marketing in the states.

When I was a kid Bacardi owned the rum market in the US. About 20 years ago suddenly Captain Morgan started showing up and gained tremendous market share. Ironically this occurred about the time they built a distillery in St. Croix, funded by the govt, with cover over taxes, aint that a coincidence.

USVI makes about 200 million dollars off that tax, off of every daiquiri drinker in America. And that bitch who represents them in congress was also one of the leads on impeaching Trump, bout the time ole biden took a vacation to St. Croix. They kept their rum tax and ......son of a beetch they impeached him.
