I just figure since he was such a serious candidate he would be expected to concede

You don't think he had anything to do with that press and attention? He was actually a well liked and successful politician in the past and was the most legitimate 3rd party candidate to run in a while based on his resume alone.

Before you reference Aleppo look in the mirror and realized you probably voted for TRUMP who didn't know what the NUCLEAR TRIAD WAS. Unfortunately Gary did not capitalize on the small amount of media coverage he got so his gaff was glaring while Trump had a media shitstorm with so much crap in it that much of the idiotic policy shite he said got buried by petty personal attacks or cries of racism.

His candidacy did more to harm marijuana legalisation than anything anyone could have ever dreamed of.

The Libertarians screwed up so badly going with him rather than Petersen.

No third party candidate will ever have a legitimate shot at the presidency unless the candidate is allowed to participate in the debates.

Once it was evident that Johnson wasn't going to be included in the debates, his support dropped significantly.

I actually defended him on that. I think if you gave a geography pop quiz to any politician they'd look just as stupid

then the new York times while mocking him misidentified allepo not once, but TWICE, and they had every opportunity to check before going to fricking print.

for all intents and purposes, Donald trump is a 3rd party candidate.

Peterson was certainly a better public speaker but he had no actual political or business leadership experience unlike Johnson. How did they screw up by going with the better man for the job?

well for the libertarians, image was pretty much all that mattered as no libertarian candidate stood a chance of winning.

Austin Petersen doesn't dress like dr. zoidberg, so point to him

he doesn't look like a middle age lesbian, point to him

he doesn't have a creepy off putting demeanor, point to him

seriously, the libertarians would've been better off just hiring an actor to play the part of their candidate someone who looks and sounds like Austin Petersen and shares his love of musical theater

Yea I have to disagree with all of that. I guess I'm an idealist though. I would rather go with a legitimate candidate for the job based on experience instead of some smooth talking schmuck trying to win a popularity contest even if that candidate isn't the most polished.
