These cuts are the wrong cuts. They're cutting a helicopter unit out in my town over everyon'e objection. Helicopters and training Majors are needed in the modern Army. My father was a retired Air Force Lt. Col. pilot, WW2,Korea,and early Viet Nam. He told me many times that the cuts can easily be made in European and Pacific bases left over from WW2. We have too many of them now. He was stationed is many of them, he knew. We need those helicopters hitting ISIS now north of Bagdad and for the Kurds support. We have bases in England that are obsolete and too far from Iraq. Middle east bases are needed,not Germany and the Pacific. We have 28,500 soldiers in South Korea. We could put 2000 in Iraq and 2000 on the Mexican border and would never be missed.
