I’m sorry to hear that. Can you get a manufacturer in a different state? I know that’s a huge pain in the arse.

Also, I was joking about "do it." (While I would love to hand the country over so I can watch them reap the benefits of these idiotic ideas, I live here and I have kids and a family. Can't let that happen.)

Jesus Christ, I'm going to have to fake my resume so I can be a waiter.

I know you were half joking but if something like this ever did pass you would see a ton of people in lower and possibly middle management saying frick responsibility and getting a job like that. That's damn near 40k / year not including any overtime and not including tips.

a median-rated restaurant on Yelp (3.5 stars) was 14 percent more likely to close with each additional dollar added to the tipped wage.

and 100% more likely to close due to mediocre food and poor reviews from pretentious amatuer food-bloggers.

It can be done but they are a lead casting company and there are so many things involved with molds and certifications, its not easy. I think if I decide to pull my product or some of my product from the local people in Illinois, I will cave and move the production over seas. Its the only way I can compete.

But we will see. Its a issue no doubt

In Downtown Seattle, many restaurants actually tell you not to tip in order to keep wages fair across their waitstaff.
