Time for the Faux Outrage to stop on both sides

I served my time in the USMC for a little over 6 years. I stand for the National Anthem. I usually have Old Glory flying in front of my house (along with either a USMC flag or a Bama flag depending on my mood).
Still, I do not understand why I am supposed to shame or force someone to stand for the National Anthem. It's your choice, bruh. Standing for the National Anthem is not a requirement for citizenship, nor does it make one a good citizen.
Time for the faux-outrage to stop. Nike does suck and they are fricked (their own fault for stepping into the political arena) though but that's their problem.
A real conservative protests at the ballot box and with his wallet, dammit.

That's not what 99% of us are doing; we're counter-protesting.......you know the shite we defended while in uniform.

It is their choice. It’s also my choice to not give them my money. Welcome to the free market. Thanks for your service.

I'm cool with that. But it's still faux outrage.

Did you make marines do it while on station?
What if a marine sat down while in uniform while it was playing?
What if, when confronted, he said "frick this country, I want to change it to make me feel better about statistical anomalies that don't go in the favor of a certain constructed demographic of citizenry."
I agree with your point, it's relatively silly...but to accept the fact Kap did it because he cares about something is bullshite...

Didn't you also defend the 1st Amendment?
Of course I did and it applies to me too.

You're right. Let's get the pitchforks and torches for this dumbass, Kaepernick.
Huh?

To me, his fondness for Castro is more heinous than anything else.

I don’t think everything you are witnessing relative to expecting to see people stand for the anthem should be labeled faux outrage. If that is the case, I could just label the whole kneeling deal as a faux protest by a washed up, back up and rapidly losing relevance quarterback.
The best way to move beyond this is to simply ignore the kneelers. Once they are ignored, they lose media relevance and usefulness, which ultimately equates to no one covering their protest.
Unfortunately, the problem is that the left will simply move onto the next fabricated “injustice.” That’s why part of what you are seeing from the pro anthem folks is a general digust with the left and their sky screaming.

Did you make marines do it while on station? Yeah but it's required of Marines, not civilians.
What if a marine sat down while in uniform while it was playing? I would tighten his arse up but see my answer above.

As a civilian what others say or think or do that doesn't involve me is none of my business.
I agree with your point, it's relatively silly...but to accept the fact Kap did it because he cares about something is bull shite... Yep, Kap's an idiot but if we all would have ignored him, this shite goes away after a couple of weeks.

Blah, blah, blah...
Brag about being in the military to get praise.

It's a qualifier that aids to provide context to following statements. What would an anonymous poster get from other anonymous people thanking them for service?

I don't. Just people who use it for attention seeking purposes - and as if it makes them the arbiters of anything.

When peoples main reason for hating on kneeling is that its disrespectful to our veterans, someone saying "I'm a veteran and dont think it matters" is relevant. You know this. You just didn't like what he had to say and wanted to be a tool about it.

The Left's strategy for societal change is relentless societal AGITPROP. They poke "AmeriKKKa" in the chest to bully and intimidate normal Americans who are just living productively and peacefully. It is moral relativism to equate reacting to divisive agitprop with actively engaging in divisive agitprop. It's saying that noticing and reacting negatively to Cultural Marxism is on the same level as wanting to replace Constitutionalism with Cultural Marxism. It's not.
Trying to destroy something and trying to protect something are NOT the same thing.

I’m good with this.
Do people stand at hoe to the Nation Anthem before a football game? Nope

Well I give you my word, I did not do it for that purpose. It wasn't to give an authoritative answer but just that I am willing to serve my country and don't hate it. Hopefully this is not causing you any faux-outrage.
