R.I.P.

Yes he did make us laugh. I really enjoyed watching his movies. Seemed like a pretty swell guy.

Loved watching him on the Carol Burnett shows.

Where was the love for Doris Day up in here? If I could spell it I'd call ya'll a bunch of misoginists.

This was his funniest bit ever, though Vicki Lawrence stole it at the end: Carol Burnett Show outtakes - Tim Conway's Elephant Story

how much of that show was ad lib? I have seen several interviews with the cast over time, but I don't recall them bringing up how much was pre-determined and how much was "well, just fill some time in this skit"

I think the best thing you can say about Conway was that he consistently killed his audience and they left each time completely devastated!!!!!!

I imagine a lot of it was ad lib.

Aside from Vicki Lawwrence that was an incredibly seasoned cast, with all of them besides Lawrence having literally decades of experience doing comedy.

Didn't hurt they also had an ace team of writers.

My favorite sketch was the one where Conway was the new dentist who kept injecting himself with Novocain.
