Obama has said they are leaving 9800 TROOPS in country.

Go back and look...I never specified "POW"

Oh and BTW...Bengdahl the DESERTER was never a POW.
Why make things up?

So we shouldn't have bothered getting WWII POWs back, since we left troops in Japan and Germany?

You point was so fricking stupid it's unbelievable.

I sure the frick hope it is.

I keep holding out that sliver of hope that we put some GPS trackers in the guys we released and we'll start hearing of drone strikes killing Mullah Omar and the rest of those dickheads.

THAT would be fricking tight.

BENGDAHL WAS NEVER A POW.

I'd suppose so, if the POWs are alive. That's the quirky thing about this story. How many POWs did the Taliban return? If you were an American and were captured, it was a death sentence.

Oh, and tell that to Vietnam.

Either way, we took those dudes back. We take them all back.

I'm more interested in how leaving 10,000 people there is the same as leaving him there.

DESERTERS WERE SHOT IN WWII.

Seriously, how more wrong/stupid can you be in support of Obama?

I cant wait for you to explain away his helping them build bombs....thats gonna be comedy gold.

So... The 10,000 active duty are all equal to the deserter?

And link on building bombs? Cause I'd be opposed to that. Obviously.

Exactly. One of the first things a maggot learns in Basic Training (or OSUT)is their "General Orders". This is three standing orders that no matter what, are always in effect anywhere and at all times. And the first of these orders are.....

He's a deserter at best and traitor at worse. Either way he needs to be tried and if found guilty put up against a wall and shot.

Watch GPS (Fareed Zakaria sp?)from last Sunday. There is actually some optimism with the new government coming in that Afghanistan wont devolve into an even bigger wasteland. The Taliban have moderated a bit lately so there is some hope. We also need a signature on our Status of Forces Agreement.

No. The 10,000 active duty Obama plans to leave there in perpetuity deserve to come home from that shithole. THEY DESERVE BETTER.

The DESERTER deserves death.

keep hope alive though, maybe the 32nd version of the who/what/why Obama and co. floats will sound slightly plausible.

Well I agree with that, but it doesn't change that we bring back soldiers. And we don't know that he's a deserter.

True or false?
False.

Obama just made a less than informed decision.
If Obama's sole information source, the press, would have just reported earlier on the deserter aspect of the Bergdahl case, he would have had much better info to go on.

I am sure Obama simply did not know these details until he read about them, and by then it was just too late.

I love when you post. When we know for sure that he's a deserter... I'll be glad we brought him back and found out.

POTUS called him a hero.
Susan"BenghaziWasDueToTheVideo"Rice made the news circuit repeating the "Bergdahl is a hero" meme.

Really really stupid stuff.

Still going to reserve judgment. If it's stupid, I can say so later without hurting anything.

Sure. Perhaps even him going AWOL was part of the plan.

I think it likely is to a certain extent. It is probably part of a broader disengagement in Afghanistan. What I don't understand is the disconnected from reality press conference with the parents.

It was the last thing connecting the US to Afghanistan. Once the troops are gone now, it's all over. Hooray?
