Seems more like a male or female than a generational divide.

I'm short of being a boomer but I guess about 5 years. But in their defense. They arent the ones who put Dylan on prescription drugs. They arent the ones who taught Dylan that he was special. They arent the ones who prevented Dylan from experience loss in sports when he was 7 years old and basically defended Dylan from ever having to feel discomfort as much as possible. They arent the ones who stunted Dylan's growth and ability to navigate difficulties within Society. So if Dylan is fricked up he probably needs to have a discussion with his Gen X parents or even Millennial parents I should add that the Boomers aren't the ones who ingrained into Dylan that he was naturally bad just because he was a boy. And that the best way he could go about behaving correctly was if he behaved more like a girl

Post if the week. Seriously congrats.

And they've hoarded all the wealth with the assistance of the federal reserve devaluing the dollar with inflation to the point where normal people can no longer afford to buy a home. And they're not going to be selling while they're still alive and when they finally do die, it's going to be Gen X that gets it and we're already old at this point. Gen Z can forget about it.

It really is weird to see so many cling to the fantasy of victimhood as directed by the Left but consider themselves anything but a liberal. You understand that the "boomers stole my success and happiness" is a Lefty derived fantasy sold to unwitting kids (typically in college), right?

What did boomers do differently from generations before and after to "hoard all the wealth"?

Who told you that normal people can no longer afford to buy a home? Normal people are buying homes all the time. If your point is "people who don't want to work for it, don't plan and are unwilling to sacrifice in order to save to buy a home" are finding it difficult to buy a home, well that's not new.

And I don't understand what you mean by, "And they're not going to be selling while they're still alive..." - are you talking about their home? If so, why do you need boomers to sell their homes before they die?

What did they do? They took us off the gold standard so property values would forever moonshot while bank accounts value dropped every year.

That's what.

They were the most degenerate generation since weimar germany. Unfortunately they appear completely normal compared to todays degens..

I'm not saying there was some grand conspiracy here. There was a shitload of good that came from that generation, but they were greedy, hedonistic, and worthless much too often. And these kids are the one's going to pay for their lifetime of abundance.

Looks like gold standard has a history. .... but stick to boomers bad. Boomers have their hands on everything.

The gold standard was the basis for the international monetary system from the 1870s to the early 1920s, and from the late 1920s to 1932[1][2] as well as from 1944 until 1971 when the United States unilaterally terminated convertibility of the US dollar to gold, effectively ending the Bretton Woods system.

I'll take issue here.

Largest because of years, '46-'64.

Somebody born in '64 is nothing like someone born in '46.

I was born 8 years before my brother. The difference in those days was amazing. No comparison.

Just one little example, he doesn't remember a time without tv. I remember outhouses.

Born into a family with no indoor plumbing, no a/c, piss poor heat, no phone. Got drafted after H.S. Worked to make a living for my wife and then the 3 boys she blessed me with. Now I'm retired & disabled, I help out getting my grand kids to and from their stuff and I find out I'm hated and should be taken out back and just shot.

Yeah, given where this all started and advancements along the way there is nothing like the hate generated against certain groups, esp. when those groups are made up like there are no blurred lines between each one.

HEY EVERYBODY, WE BORED. LETS GET TOGETHER AND PICK ON SOMEBODY, YOU KNOW, LIKE A BUNCH OF CHICKENS IN A SMALL COOP.

You are taking this way too personal and giving anecdotal evidence

We are talking in generalities

Exactly correct.

If we're to be blamed for anything it is that our children are Millennials and I even have a Gen Z-er in my youngest.

Gen Z may save this country in the long run. Millennials are a problem.

Talk however you want. You are talking about Boomers though. I'm a Boomer. I'll take it however I want.

I'm taking it personal. Mostly because I lived through an era you jerks know nothing about. Because somebody separated us into groups it is open season on one group. Boomers, the chicken being picked on amongst chickens. Stupid!

Yeah, I take it personal mostly because it's all fricking wrong. People point fingers without doing the homework.

Lie #1. Little fat boys can't hurt my feelings. #1a. Are you too stoopid to know the difference between hurt feelings and simple truth?

Lie #2 This old geezer doesn't believe you are right. And that's the truth you just got bit in the fat arse by.
