No entirely political, but there are a lot of bargains out there these days.

I wish I had a crystal ball to see what will happen when the second quarter reports come out and the GDP is hit with 30 to 40% decline thanks to the lock-down insanity.

I am hoping and believing that the numbers are already factored in by investors

Are there really? Seems the stock market thinks this recession is already over.

I'm taking some profits now on my tech funds. They are up 20% in 2 months.

Got a triple on NVAX on Monday. May 1 buy for $16 and couldn't hit the sell button quick enough on the 18th when it hit the high 50's.

The market seems like a herd of hungry sheep.

Yep, I'm taking a little money and think a lot of factors are priced into the market.

But from a risk management side you will never be on the right side 100% of the time and can't go broke taking a profit so I'm not second guessing the small stuff

I'm just mostly taking the long view, but it's nice to hit the lottery every now and then. 2009 and 2010 were similar. It was hard to make bad bets in times like that and this if not betting on individual companies that go belly up.

I glanced over that. Damn, yeah that's a nice trade. I'd like to venture into some more short term stocks and stocks in general. Energies and commodities are either flat or volatile it seems so if I get a decent margin I generally pitch

I put my balls out there for cruise and airline stocks. Cruise stocks have paid off nicely. Airline stocks are still fricking garbage.

Just about any oil company. I like Marathon (MRO) but just about any refiner should double once demand comes back.

[MRO is at $6.01 as I type this, mark this post]

If this were the case, the market would be a lot higher.

I posted this in February and was both laughed at told to hold off. I was also laughed at for buying one of the stocks I did.

That stock was worth double the price yesterday as of end of day.

At any given moment exactly half of the money out there thinks that the stock you are looking at is and is going to be worth less and exactly half thinks it is and is going to be worth more.
