If Mitch doesn’t move to vote then Kav may be done. Dems are already moving to create additional allegations and strongarm or payoff Mark Judge and others.

they got Manchin and Pence it would pass. They need Heidi, Collins and Murkowski. they may join Flake.

By Flake and Murkowski saying they want an FBI investigation first it gives Manchin et al more than enough political cover to then ask for a "bipartisan" investigation and give into whatever fatal deal Flake made.
That way he isnt the one holding back the confirmation and he can point to Flake and Murkowski as being the reasons this gets dragged on.

Maybe Flake was given the deal, "Say what you want and vote yes. Mitch will offer you the same courtesy. Say what you want and vote yes. This isn't complicated."
