You suck at predicting things so I'm gonna say 2018 looks really blue.

I really mean no offense by this but aren't you a huge Romney style republican that's country club as shite?

If so, that makes sense of a lot of things regarding your posts on the poliboard these days.

No, no you're not. Look at VA. Look at races all over the country. The Democrats are up almost double digits vs. Generic republicans.

Lol I campaigned for Ron and Rand Paul. I pretty much despise republicans as they are generally speaking big government lunatics. People like Roy Moore. People like Jeff Sessions. People like a lot of both the GOPe and Trump's supporters in Washington.

You used to be a libertarian, or at least, a small government conservative. I see things have changed in the last 5 or so years.

Voted for Rand in the primaries long after he dropped out.

Was one of only ten people in my parish to vote for him.

Libertarian no.

Small government conservative yes.

I just figured out that libertarianism just doesn't quite work out well in the real world and only works with a very small subset of the population and not everybody appreciates/respects it enough to practice it regularly.

Indeed. I still hold a lot of elements of my core views but they definitely have been adjusted quite a bit, especially in the age of Trump.

It blows my mind that you guys consider this some insult.

"You're educated, well-paid, and wear cardigans and chinos. What filth!"

What the frick is Trump but country club? Besides the fact that he's also fat, has bad hair, and talks and eats like a Mafia hoodrat.

I literally and even prefaced it by saying no offense at all.

Nobody has a problem with that.

They just have a problem with it when you use it to insult lower classes with it in the process of setting public policy that affects them.

It's understandable.

And he's also a pro at life in ways you and I will never reach.

I think he's already admitted that he looks like shite and made his peace with it.
