The rearview mirror: Shifts 6-7 months before an election is wise.

The conflict in Iran will be a distant memory (and looked upon as a decisive victory) if we get out within the next month, having accomplished every goal of dismantling everything that they have.
With Iran behind us, gas prices should plummet and be at fall prices by the time of the election. High prices will be in the rearview mirror.
Making moves on poor-performing political appointees is also prudent at this time. They will also be in your rearview mirror.
The deportation tactics (which I feel was necessary) of hundreds of thousands of people, many in Metro democratic run cities, will also be in the rearview mirror.
If all of these shifts were going to be made, they need to be made now. There is not much doubt in my mind that his inner cabinet knows what they are doing.

Agreed. Charlie has already been forgotten. Plenty of time to win the midterms.
