The President must stay out of DoJ investigations

Where does this idea come from? He is the chief executive office and the DoJ falls under the executive branch. He has a constitutional right to be as involved or as uninvolved as he wishes, so this idea that he must essentially let the DoJ be autonomous with zero influence from him is absurd. Do we demand that Chief Justice Roberts exert no influence over the rest of the judicial branch? Do we demand members of congress abstain from influencing certain areas of the legislative branch? Help me to understand where this idea comes from. The DoJ is not a 4th branch of govt and as such shouldn’t be treated as such. It should not be walled off from the chief executive because what you get is the same shite we’ve had for the last 3 years, endless internal investigations and promises to straighten things out while simultaneously holding absolutely nobody accountable.

Yeah be involved BEHIND the scenes. Stop airing that shite out on Twitter.

It's all part of the show, IMO.

Point to me where it says he can only be involved behind the scenes in the constitution.

He can't.
There are a lot of Trump supporters on the board tonight with a yeast infection.

I sort of dig OUR government actions as an open book. I get why it can be frustrating to some like Barr at times, but I’m happy with the notion of saying that should come with the territory.

So essentially he should just keep his mouth shut as we watch the DoJ sweep shite under the rug right out in the open.

1. Trump should not do things that are within his power as president.
2. He shouldn't talk (twitter).
Is this hard for you Trumpkins to understand?

It’s just made up media bullshite. They are trying to get Barr to cave. Their arse has been caught and they are praying they can run out the clock.

Shaping public perception while destroying norms the enemies of freedom are hiding behind is critical in the war against corruption.

You’re not going to find it that I know of, but I agree with the poster.
I think there are times he goes too far. I know that’s not widely popular here, but he doesn’t need to use a sledge hammer in every facet of his presidency.
I think he should call his cabinet to the floor but not on Twitter or in pressers unless his cabinet is not responding to his direction.
Just my opinion and preference. Is it right or wrong?

Active investigations aren't open to the public for a variety of reasons. From podunk Mayberry to the federal DOJ, they keep their cards close for a reason. When the time is right they release their info. This isn't new info and Barr is simply trying to protect the integrity of his cases.
If no arrests are made, then our Republic is gone.

I know this is not the thing I am talking about when saying he shouldn’t tweet. That isn’t all he is focused on either.

Here is my overall point. The idea that he should exert no influence over the DoJ is ridiculous. The ENTIRE executive branch is his responsibility. He is responsible for holding those in that branch of govt accountable for their actions or inactions. When you wall him off, you take away the accountability within the executive branch of govt. That is how you get James Comey leaking documents to his buddy to jump start special counsels. That is how you get the DoJ declining to indict him when what he did was in clear violation of the law. This is how you end up with 17 instances of lying to a FISA court and everyone walking away suffering no consequences. Who is gonna hold anyone at the DoJ accountable for anything when the one man with the power to do so is told he can’t get involved? It’s absurd

I don’t disagree. I just don’t think it requires him doing it publicly all the time.

Nope don't agree, this allows him to operate above the Deep State more effectively than any other, at this point

Right. It should be set up so that every federal judge send all their proposed sentence pronouncements to the White House for pre-approval.
