God bless, C; but be careful. Associations and bonds of love extended will come with expectations in the minds of desperate and simple minded people who are ruled by instincts and powers which they do not understand and/or are unable to overrule. I know this from experience as well. Protect those ‘cubbies’ above all. You can only save a limited number. Like any lifeguard swimming out to the drowning.

Best wishes

Thanks

The little cubs are very innocent and sheltered.

I do believe it's genuine.
It is.

Good. Just do know the actual reality of your surroundings. Don't wishcast it.

Sounds like you're confident you're both realistic, and have good information.

More importantly, families aren’t moving to Nola. While a recent college grad might be excited about tune prospect of living in such a storied city, productive families with young children are not. Why would you live in Nola where you have to pay extra to send kids to private school?

None of this is true. My husband is on the board for the booster club where our kids play sports. More than 1,200 kids have played sports there since January. There are 5 homeroom classes for each grade at my children's public school and I had to put our baby in daycare in Chalmette because there were no openings available at any of the daycares I tried to enroll him in. Both my school-aged kids read above grade level.

Well, considering my 89 year old mom was raped and almost murdered in Dallas you will never convince me that crime hasn't gotten worse. My experience is very personal and not from social media. it was the worst crime in her immediate neighborhood in history. There are low income apartments around Lake Highlands that have had high crime for many years.

The DA talked about crime in Dallas getting much worse after Katrina.

Elderly women in Dallas getting targeted. It's a very scary place for a woman
