Black patriots like Tbird and many others are to thank for this. They're putting theirselves out there, in the line of fire, and showing that their race need not be enslaved by any party (metaphorically speaking) but rather that they should belong where it makes the most sense to be- where your party actually wants you to be equal and successful.

I think his support has risen, but no way do I think it’s that high

And that higher support won’t help him in an election versus Booker or Harris

US politics works like a pendulum, don't become too happy when it swings to your party of choice nor too despondent when it swings back the other direction.

From your link

It might seem far-fetched that over a third of African Americans would now approve of a president with a very long history of racial insensitivity

Identity politics are the only thing progressives have left. It is literally the only bullet in their chamber.

Of course they aren’t. Immigration, taxes, healthcare, foreign policy, basically everything is on the table for Democrats to run and win on.

What are you talking about?

Less than 10% of black Americans will vote for Trump in 2020, assuming he’s the candidate.

I wouldn't put a lot of money down on that assumption. Blacks will eventually leave the plantation. They did it once. They'll do it again.

Please, oh please let the dems campaign on their vision for a

> de facto open border
> a tax and spend economy
> an 11th hour vote for a healthcare law that they admitted to not reading that the SCOTUS had to uphold as a tax
> foreign policy from a position of feckless ineptitude and weakness

The race card is actually their only and best hope.

There is no defacto open border policy. Especially stupid when measured against the Obama years as compared to the Bush years.

Tax and spend. Ok. As opposed to GOP spend and leave it for the next generation?

Healthcare: wildly popular. Hence the inability to get rid of it. And why they are all lying in commercials.

Foreign policy. That isn’t factual. That is your opinion.

Border - pooch has been screwed for decades. Trump commits to shoring it up and that helps get him elected.

Tax & spend - neither.

Healthcare - hovering around 50% for/against, pick which poll to believe, not "wildly popular"

Foriegn policy - sending an elderly woman to russia with a plastic stage prop = feckless and weak
