The Border Enforcement Zone is Homan's ace up his sleeve

From our friends at the ACLU (Even they know there isn't much they can do about it).
Notice where most of those "sanctuary cities" are located.

Are immigration officials allowed to stop people in places wholly inside the U.S.?U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the federal agency tasked with patrolling the U.S. border and areas that function like a border, claims a territorial reach much larger than you might imagine. A federal law says that, without a warrant, CBP can board vehicles and vessels and search for people without immigration documentation 'within a reasonable distance from any external boundary of the United States.' These 'external boundaries' include international land borders but also the entire U.S. coastline.
What is a 'reasonable distance'?The federal government defines a 'reasonable distance' as 100 air miles from any external boundary of the U.S. So, combining this federal regulation and the federal law regarding warrantless vehicle searches, CBP claims authority to board a bus or train without a warrant anywhere within this 100-mile zone. Two-thirds of the U.S. population, or about 200 million people, reside within this expanded border region, according to the 2010 census. Most of the 10 largest cities in the U.S., such as New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago, fall in this region. Some states, like Florida, lie entirely within this border band so their entire populations are impacted.

I would include any city with an international airport and a 100 mile zone around said airport.
That would take care of St Louis, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Columbus, Denver, KC, Atlanta etc

It would be awful close. CR is about 35 miles north of Houston. Houston is about 30-40 miles up from Galveston. Well, NW of Galveston.
Regardless, it's time.
ETA: The law says "100 air miles" so as the bird flies

The ability to stop anyone they want allows them to exert great pressure on illegals. They have to leave the house sometime either for work or food and they run the risk constantly, it has to be exhausting.
All the while they risk losing everything they have accumulated while in the US. If they are caught their vehicle is impounded and they may lose all of their belongings when deported. If they self deport they at least get to take some things with them.

I've really been wanting to see news about the deportations starting here in KC, and down in STL.
I'm all for what you're suggesting.

The liberals have made it clear. Immigration enforcement will have to be done with an iron hand.
There can be no tolerance for aiding and abetting illegals.
